Intro to Improv is a two hour introduction to comedy improv techniques. The class is a fun and gentle chance to try improv. There is no pressure to be funny and no need to be quick witted. The class is desiged for both the introvert and the extrovert. It will be two of the most fun hours you've ever had.
Who Teaches Intro to Improv
Intro to Improv is taught by members of Pan Theater's Awkward Face Improv Troupe. Awkward Face performers use the same exercises, games and skills taught in the class.

Pan Theater is an Oakland, California based improv troupe focusing on scene work and long form improvisational theater. We perform in Oakland at 2135 Broadway, one block away from BART.
We are the East Bay's largest improv theater training center. We have been performing, practicing and offering workshops in improv continuously since February of 2002.
Performing at Pan
Hundreds of students begin or further their performance training with us every year. Many performers launch their acting careers by becoming part of our improv community.
Students can learn and practice short form comedy, and long form improv. Our main performing troupes actively recruit from our Long Form and Short Form Troupes.
Alumni groups have regular performance opportunities. Most of our directors began their training with either our Improv Basics class in Oakland, or in our Long Form or Short Form Troupes.
